I learned recently that I’ll be teaching an undergraduate social media class in the Spring of 2010 at theĀ Sam M. Walton College of Business. I’m calling it “Business Innovation through Social Media” and plan to split the course material equally between social media tools and techniques, social media business strategies and an examination of social media case studies facilitated by guest speakers.
I know a lot about social media, but then again so do a lot of other people. I’m taking this opportunity to indulge in a bit of crowdsourcing. Over the next few weeks, I’ll post some questions related to course content and structure on this blog. I would love to hear your opinions on everything from what books I should use (if any) to what companies I should hold up as examples (both good and bad.)
I’ll tag all posts with socialmedia, UofA, and WCOB and categorize them under Education and Innovation.
Just write any suggestions in the comments for each posted question. After I get some good starting material, I may go crazy and put together some surveys as well.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
